Short promo videos dedicated to the Righteous
For many years, the population of the post-Soviet states knew about the cooperation of the local population with the Nazis and about the participation in the Holocaust during the Second World War. Ukraine is no exception. Soviet propaganda paid special attention to citizens of Ukraine and the Baltic states.
It was not popular to speak of those known as the Righteous Among the Nations.
Unfortunately, various foundations and institutions in the territory of the former Soviet Union began to collect stories about how the Righteous saved Jews during the Second World War, many years after its end. Nevertheless, Ukraine is proud of more than 2,673 righteous people recognized by Yad Vashem as of January 1, 2021.
Our videos (90-120 seconds long) are real stories of salvation in times of darkness.
This will increase the awareness of ordinary people and contribute to the development of a tolerant atmosphere in the country.
The country longs for real heroes that can be proud of. The personalities of the Righteous cannot be ambiguous and cannot cause any negativity. They risked themselves and their loved ones to save strangers. They are the same ray of light that helped dispel the great darkness.
